This manual will teach you how to organize your media on your harddrive & how to manage it with Mediastork.

Step 1 - Install the webserver  

• a) Download WinLamp (MySQL, PHP, Apache) Click here to download
• b) Install WinLamp
• c) Choose the Typical Package
  
  
  
  
• d) Choose C:\ as your destination folder
• e) Configuration; just press INSTALL
  
  
  
  
• f) Press Unblock
  
  
  
  
• g) Double Check if Apache2 is installed on C:\ (or another path)
  
  
  
  

Step 2 - Install MySQL (Database)

• a) Follow the MySQL installation windows (this will popup during the WinLamp installation)
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
• b) Choose password: mediastork (you can choose something else but you'll have to change it within the mediastork configuration.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  

Step 2 - Download & Install Mediastork

• a) Download Mediastork Click here to download
• b) Unzip the files to C:\Apache2\htdocs\
  
  
  
  
  
• c) Burp! sorry, I drank too much before writing this guide :D
• d) Run the following website on your computer http://localhost/mediastork/
• e) Go to configuration
• f) press the link: Click here to run the DATABASE AUTO INSTALLER
• g) Go to configuration
• h) Press "ADD DRIVE" under lets say: Movies
• i) Add for instance:
  • Local: d:/Movies/
  • Network: http://yourserver/Drive 1/Movies
  • Web: http://www.yourserver.com/Drive 1/Movies
• j) Press Submit
• k) Go to the same section and press SCAN FOR MEDIA
• l) You are ready to roll!!!
